Just wondered what Tyres your all wearing through the winter months? Just purchased some Maxxis Advantage 26 x 2.4. A friend of mine swears by them for winter riding, so gonna give them a Go. I ran GEAX AKA 26 x 2.3 in summer and they were great until it started getting damp.

I'm using Kenda Tomac Nevegal DTC Mountain Bike Tyres I notice a few chaps running the Bontranger are they good tyres? I'm very happy with what I have though...
The bontys are a spot on tyre for just about everything you're likely to encounter.

Mud Xs on the HT, but they're rubbish on rocks (too skinny) so I've had Conti 2.2 Rubber Queens on the FS the past few weeks and I'm liking them a lot. Loads of grip in all conditions and don't let go without warning like some other Conti tyres. By no means a cheap set of boots though. I dropped on them in a sale otherwise I'd probably have had Swamp Things on.
Swampthing front, minion dhr rear, both supertacky, they grip everything!!!

They're cheap and they do have lots of grip in soft conditions. Quite fast rolling too. I know a couple of folks who just leave them on year round. They are skinny though as I mentioned in my other post, so if your clattering over rocks then not the best tyre.Originally Posted by MTB InsomniacP
