KHS Bikes

I was looking to get a full suspension frame and came across KHS Bikes. I like the look of the XC604 and it appears to be great value. Has anyone goy one or come across these before as they are new to me? Plus any suggestions for a good frame to build up would be nice. I want it for XC / free ride type stuff.

Cheers all.

No sorry,

Welcome to the forum Wilki

But found this...

http://www.khsbicycles.com/03_xc_604_09.htm

That's the fellow, it seems to be built with XC parts 4.2" travel so freeride is probably out.

What do you currently do on a bike and where do you want to be with your new steed? on answering this then choose appropriately, the price does seem ok so why go to the expense and hassle of building your own, do you have a spare donor bike with the right parts?

Thanks for the welcome

Pretty much all I do is cross country and was just thinking the extra comfort of a FS would be nice. I don't have a huge amount to spend and have been looking at entry level machines from Trek, Spesh, Cube etc and dare I say it a Boardman (i'm no bike snob!). I would quite like to build my own as I like the components I have and its what I did with my current bike and it would also mean I might be able to get a better frame.

As long as most parts fit and are sutable for the riding you are doing, that is a good option, many frames out there to consider, but the frame is always the heart of the bike so get the best you can afford, when you trash or wear out the other bits upgrade them, then you will have the bike of your dreams, eventually.
