Both the same price, the Prophet is well rated, the Rush has better componentry but I don't know anything about the frame, when both are the same price which one would people recommend?
Visually the main difference to me seems to be the angle of the seatpost, with the Prophet having a shorter distance to the handlebars.

Prophet 3 was reviewed in June 2008 issue. Have a look. It came out very well in the test.

Gotta admit I'd go for the better componetry on the Rush, being a complete ludite when it comes to geometry.
I was once told that you spend your money on the bits that do the work so that means suspension and gears in my book.
Have you ridden them both?

The forum guys gave me some good advice a while back and I'm still in shopping mode for my new ride.
The Prophet 3 was on my list at a grand as well but stocks are dwindling in my size (XL) - I'm yet to test ride but I'm leaning towards a Cannondale Rise - heard great things about the frame. Its a bit more but I think it may be worth it.
Best advice - ignore everyone, test ride them both and get the one that suits you more!! Bike Shoppings the best!!
(Merlins doing great deals on Commencal at the moment - on my list to test as well!!)
Happy shopping - if you test them out - post what you make of them.

good advice from mike, you have narrowed your steed to 1 of 2 bikes so test ride them both and see which comes up trumps.
mike, if your advising cheeko to ignore everyone then doesnt that mean he has to ignore you to? and me as i have seconded your advice!

I paid for the pdf article where they reviewed the Prophet in the round up and was impressed.
I just wanted to put out the feelers in case there were any horror stories about the Rush as it breaks through that components ceiling on bikes around £1000 with the RP2/Recon and whatnot and wondered what the catch was
I'll give them a ride and let you know.
Thanks.
