A friend of mine has just purchaced a new Giant with Hayes hydraulic disc brakes. The only problem is that the brake levers are too far away from the bars for her (small) hands
Is there a way of bringing them in without bringing the pads closer to the discs?
I had a quick look at the levers but couldn't see any obvious adjustment. However I never looked at the caliper end of things.
I recon that I might have a similar problem with my Magura Marta's that are due to arrive in the coming days.
Is there a quick'ish fix or it the solution likely to involve a dangerous degree of tinkering?
Cheers C

not 100% sure but i think that the lever's are either adjustable or there not adjustable. if i am right then there are adjusted from the lever side and not the calipers.
the hayes brakes may not be adjustable but your magura's may well be.
if she really cant get away with them then maybe she should look into selling the hayes while there still mint and finding some adjustable one's especially as a lot of the riding is done with fingers over the levers.

Hi Glas , both should be adjustable for reach mate , if you look at the lever from your bar-end you will see a little allen key adjuster in between the lever blade and your handlebars , turning this clockwise or anti=clockwise with either move the lever nearer or further from the bars.
