shimano splined to 6 bolt problem.

Hi, does anyone have any ideas why the rotor bolts on a new mavic wheel would be rubbing against the brake (Deore hydrolic) fixing bolt at the rear of the bike (Trek Fuel 80)? The previous wheel was a shimano center lock thingy. The new wheel also has a new cassette (LX) fitted also.
I'm feel brand new to bikes after being away for many years so any help would be much appreciated.
