recommendations for bikes

Hi guys, i posted yesterday asking for opinions on a starter bike and i've come across the giant yukon fx 3 2008 model for £595 is this any good or can i get better for the same price? any suggestions?

if you can get hold of one have a look at the boardman comp as you will not get a spec like it for the money (but that does mean a trip to halfords, aaaaagh!!)

How was your ride out on Saturday, I've yet tpo catch up on your posts will get to them later if works allows...

Back issues are availbale to order I'm sure I've seen details in the mag itself.

There are usually a few must get mags IMHO, the dirty doz is one and the WMTB 'bike of the year' (out now!) is another followed by the gear test next month.

lol, if i remember it correctly there scott it was you egging jay on about the geeks on the halford cheapy bikes.

actually mate it was a dam good motivator, jay went from tired slow to alive and full of grit. it must have worked cos we got in before them.

indeed, hey scott i have posted up another attempt at a get together. just to make sure you know that i still think us going together is an ace idea. i have a car and a 3 bike rack, obvious problem there, can you do better?
