Speedy recovery from arthroscopy
      #3678 - 26/06/2008 10:20

Obviously, living in the Dark Peak is most MTBer's idea of living in heaven, especially this summer with good weather and dry trails. But not for me, as i am 5 days post op following an arthroscopy on my knee, having had a plica resection. I now have one sore, half shaved leg and quads that seem to have disappeared overnight. Do you have any tips on making a speedy recovery and getting back in the saddle before summer is over.

Thanks for the encouragement VT. Stitches come out in 2 days and i am working hard on getting up and down the stairs. I will try the short road runs as suggested.

Its now 4 weeks since my surgery. I cycled about 20 miles a couple of days ago. OK it was only undulating fire track but the knee was great. I can also now drive pain free which was a big problem before the arthroscopy.
Hoping to do some proper mtbing in the next few weeks.

Cheers Sir Queuesalot.
Did a loop of Hayfield this evening. Walked the last climb.
Give me a few weeks to get my fitness back and it would be great to ride with you.
Brom
