Favourite Downhills
      #3585 - 23/06/2008 20:36

Just thought it would be interesting to see what peoples favourite downhills are. Mine currently is a really rocky technical section called cavedale i think near castleton and a close second called chapel lane near macc forest. These are subject to chnage though if i can think of any more...

I used to be indecisive...But now i'm not so sure?

Hey Brij do you mean Charity lane nr Macc forest? If its the one I know (Charity lane) you come out the bottom of it and there is a car park behind a wall on the left for a small church (Forest Chapel)

Great descent!!!

One of my Favourite downhill sections (Not DH as in Proper DH course) is at Cannock and it used to be called something like 'the Retina ripper' its Fast fast fast and one of the original best built F.T.D sections at Cannock Chase.

Also the final descent back to the car park at Cli-machX is a Corker.

Well.well, well where do I begin ??? Best full on DH descent is probably at Nantmawr quarry just because of the sheer speed of it, just as you exit the tree section ,cross the road and head down into the gully to the finish (out of shady trees into blinding sunlight flatout at about 40mph +.). But probably my favourite trail descent is The Llanberis Pass - Mount Snowdon summit to trainstation , one hell of a walk with DH bikes but awesome veiws and ride back down (3hr walk to top carrying 40lb bike - 21 minutes backdown to trainstation carpark !!!!!). The Monkey is a pretty awesome bit of trail aswell

FTD is good.

Also consider Marin trail final section before carpark (although only done it once)
All descents down into 3 shires head.
Entire descent of Jacobs Ladder - Mental
Cut Gate, down to reservoir.
Gap road, brecon beacons
Iron Keld
Decent to Derwent Water

Nah, sod it anything with a slope going down hill is good!
