SLB has a great little route plotted out for an open invite ride in the Lakes for next Saturday.
Everyone is expected, err I mean welcome!!

Meeting somewhere around Stavley at an early time on Saturday the 11th for a killer ride, good scenery, good hills & good mates!!!
Followed by post ride post mortems and excuses in the Windmill pub 
No bivy bags required

not for me this time, i am STILL bloody poorly so i have been doing zero riding so a killer ride could well turn out to be just that for me.

cant do the 11th but could manage the 18th, don't like the Killer bit though.
I tried 52k and failed half way. I am an unfit herbert but happy to max at 25 - 30 KM

I'm with you tango. At 30k I start to tire... Not going to stop having at crack at the 30mile dark peak challenge though. But that is for charity.

The ride next sat is 63km with 2000m of climbing...It's got a pub at the approx halfway point though and we'll have all day to get round so a nice leisurely pace with plenty of sandwich/photo stops!
If anyone else fancies something on the 18th I'd def be up for that - I've linked up a 20km route around the off-piste bits of Grizedale which is mega if anyone's up for it? Funnily enough there's a couple of pubs on the way round that as well...

63km sounds alot, but i suppose like you said if its all done throughout the day with plenty of stops then it wouldnt be that intense...sounds like an all round top day!

i cant mate, ive got a few friends comin up from london saturday day time, so a session is in order, and ill be in no fit state to trek up there, i may go out local later in the day if im upto it, but thats about it really.....sir q and i are hopeful of doing something from the 9th august onwards, as im off for a week before i go on holiday, so are hoping to do an epic somewhere in the week starting 9th august!
