Hey amigos, New MBR mag is out, top notch as always. Noticed one of my posts was in the mag, the one about the cops speed gunning riders. What's the deal with that? Can riders be done for speeding?
I think I should try to build on my new found fame, maybe after-dinner speaking...

I won't let them take my cycling profficency test badge away from me!
Not for speeding or... Cycling with undue care and attention resulting in an unplanned meeting with the ground. Riding the wrong way down the wrong hill. Not collecting enough "Air miles" before attemting that. Dangerous cycling, classified as anything rougher than a tow path. Loitering with intent, to do somthing stupid on my bike.
The list could go on, any takers for stupid offences!

If you are on the road, all the highway code rules will apply, you can definately get done for being drunk in charge of a cycle (I have a friend who was prosicuted(sp?) for it). I'm not sure about speeding as you don't have a speedo.
It's maybe worth asking your local friendly policeman as to if it would apply.

I have a CD hanging from me rear view mirror, and flick on me windscreen washer whenever I see a speed trap... mind you, the windscreen causes a lot of drag...so I have to pedal twice as hard!
