sorry for the blatant plug, id prefer to sell to somebody off here first choice if interested! heres the link to the ebay auction, again sorry to do this, but thought someone may be interested for a cheap pair of decent brakes, as no doubt will go for crap money like most things i sell on ebay

they float about a foot above your bike, like a couple of angels watching over you as you ride
sorry
i think its something to do with them being 2 seperate pieces of material per rotor with the centre part of the rotor not being screwed into the outer of the rotor.....something along those lines anyways i think though im probably totally wrong

Didzy's about right there.
The heat build up in the braking surface is distanced from the fixing points by being separated. The resulting rotor is called floating because the expansion is allowed to occur without affecting the bolt holes as well as the way the rotor is allowed to ride up very slightly on the rivets. This reduces the risk of warping and loers the weight as the carrier can now be made of aluminium rather than heavier steel all the way through.
They also look the doggies!

Ive been told today(as per my post about juddering brakes) that the outer can come loose from the inner and this may be causing my juddering under braking. But yes they do look the tits.

i am gutted to be honest, 84 quid!!!!!
for a full set of 4 month old elixir r's that cost me 200quid!!!
and i even threw in the 3x sets of brake pads brand new!
next time i sell something like that on ebay, its going as a buy it now, some guy actually offered me £150 to end the auction early, but i never heard back from him.....
the guy was local to me and a really top guy so cant fault him, he got an absolute bargain though....
it had 56 watchers in total, and only 1 of those people was willing to pay 84quid....absolutly [****] ebay is at times...
never mind eh!?!?!?

I also had a bid retraction notice so for a while I was winning again , sorry is all I can say I should have put in a max bid the day before , at least you wouild have got the true value

not to worry my good man, ebay is a risk in these current times, only 8 different people bid on them though, out of the 56 watching, mental really.......
nevermind, could have done with the extra cash, but its definitely the last time i sell via auction for something thats worth over 100quid in my eyes....
