Entry Level MTB
      #35352 - 30/06/2009 23:44

My friend wants to get in on this MTB lark! Good news, but he wants to buy something to start him off, he wants to do mainly XC with enough fork to get him down most singletrack but not necessarily Welsh trails. Any suggestions? I said £500 minimum and told him the other end and he almost fell off the bar stool! LOL Hardtail to start or full susser. I reckon hard tail.

yep hardtail, take a look at the dirty dozen test if you can dig it out, everything you'll need will be within.

second what rb says... check out dirty dozen and have a wander round a few local bike shops and sit on a few.
It will give you the opperunity to have a quick perv over really bling bikes while he's not looking!
