Dipped my feet in Downhill today on Gold run at Innerleithen. Took a while to get down and thank god the trails were dry but it was a challenge and a half I tell ya. Hats off to you guys who do it at full tilt (you must be mad). My brakes were red hot, and yes speed may be your friend but when you've not done anything like it before trees seem so much closer and gradients feel so much steeper. Anyway this will give you a little idea of the gold.

What brave pills have you been taking today?

Not have your helmet cam on then!

I felt under helmeted doing the Claddon bank one, but thought, that N***er in front doesn't even have one on so...

He was one of the downhillers so probably thought it was just a spin around the local swing park!

Love to at least attempt some of those but won't be able to persuade any one I know to try it, might be a bit dangerous on my own, no one around to call the paramedics when the inevitable happens!

Touche! trust me I didn't feel all that brave. I was shown round by a guy who lives in innerleithen and knows his way round like the back of his hand. Don't have a helmet cam besides you don't want to listen to me whimpering like a schoolkid. It's definately something I wouldn't attempt on my own. I was off line and skidding all over the place at times and it was dry! One day when I'm feeling mad enough we could hook up and try some (that's if you really, really want to )

Was that the air ambulance landing at the end of that vid. If so, the person filming it must have thought "this video's could attract a lot of new people to this track. I better put something in to disuade them from coming."

That's the North East air ambulance arriving. You might notice too if you watch vids of Spooky Wood there's a helipad just below the first three big drops.

Both of us carry a phone then there may be someone able to dial 999 for the other!

Never seen the ( MBR ) chopper or the air ambulance at spooky woods bit.
