I bought a Cannondale Prophet 1 last year following it's excellant review in MBR. I upgraded the chainset at christmas to an SLX and changed the tyres to High Rollers , as the Hutchinson Spiders fitted were pants .
As MBR indicated this frame is worth upgarading but what next?
Wheels? I'm thinking Hope Pro II's on Mavic XC717, from Merlin for about £266.
What about forks? Fox Float 32's or Vanilla R or RLC, or what about Revelation??
Any advice graetefully received.
Cheers.

does anything NEED upgrading? As in, is anything broken? Is anything really holding you back? If you're asking on a forum, I'd say probably not right? If not, why not spend your hard-earned on a riding holiday or a day with a coach, like MBR's Chris Ball (dirtschool.co.uk) - it will improve your riding a lot more than a new set of wheels will, trust me.

You're probably right in relation to the forks but the orginal hubs, Shimano M475's, are proving high maintenance and I think the freehub is on its way out.
The only other objective is it might reduce the weight a bit. The Tora 308 are a bit on the lardy side...

A Prophet really deserves a set of 36's on the front. I'd go with a nice set of pro-II based wheels as well if the cash was available.
Oh, and ignore the post about coaching. Shiney new stuff makes you a better, faster, stronger rider. FACT.
