As above, just wondering if anyone has had any experience of this fork. The reviews are good but would like some feedback from you guys. If it was a choice between these or fox 100 rlc, which is the best fork in your opinions too. Cheers ian.

Hi Ian,
I run the 426's and am very happy with them. I wanted some Fox's when I upgraded last but after speaking to 3 bike shops and getting the same, 'Hmm, you're better off with RShox mate' I heeded their advice and have been very happy with them. Mine are the 130mm travel U turns which suit my fsr stumpy 06 S-works perfectly. I know Didzy has had to send his 09's back because of a knocking sound, I think there was a batch with a small fault, but this has been resolved and I think he's chuffed with them now.

I get that slight knocking noise in my pikes, doesn't seem to inhibit performance. I mght try to tap up SRAM for the replacement part and do it myself when I eventually get round to changing my coil for a firmer one... Hopefully some time this month...
My bid shop also had the similar opinion, fox are great, but you seem to pay more for the badge. RS will do it all for less, you get a slight weight saving iirc with foxes but after a week or two you are not goingto notice it really.

uturns all the way for me......when prices are compared anyways.....
i can vouch for the 09 uturns, they are a cracking fork once properly set up, i sent mine back to the place i bought them, where the head mechanic sorted out the knocking/clunking noise himself, rather than send them to fisher under warranty....must admit havent heard a knock since....they are super trail forks, getting the air pressures right was my major problem, as id merely gone off the recommended psi's rather than doing it on how it felt etc.....now i have the psi' pressure lower i am getting near enough 130ish mm travel on the max 140mm travel setting, without it bottoming out etc.....apparently you will never really get the full 140mm travel the way they are set up etc, but 133ish is what my readings have calculated thus far....used them on all sorts of terrain, from xc, harsh rocky descents, singletrack etc and they havent let me down yet, great combo of smoothness and a plush feeling, and an all round great trail fork....
i paid 349.99 for rs 426 dual air uturn 09's and the cheapest i saw the equaivalent fox talas rlc was about over 600quid.....
i would however have gone for the float rlc's but again the cheapest you can get them for is about 550....
so for me paying 350 was a steal for a fork from what ive tested, reviews and other people, is a hell of a bargain!
in a purely aesthetical way, the fox's do look awesome, they really do especially the white float rlcs.....but 550 for a set of forks is a hell of alot of money for one item.....

Another thing with the Fox's is they don't look good for long, I think they stick the decals on with milk.

Nice one fellas, i wanted the white fox cos my frame is white and i think it would look sweet, but as you say the price difference is a factor. They are used but not much so should be ok. Just one more thing, can these forks be set at 120mm travel rather than having the max traavel all the time.

I have fox float 32 rlc forx and they are excellent mate so i'd go for the fox. Although the only rockshox i've ever had are some Judy's on an old tek 6700 about 10 years ago.

yes mate you can turn them from the base setting of 110mm to anywhere in between there and 140mm, there arent just a few settings, you could if you could measure it correctly to exact mm if you wanted... ie 114mm of travel, or 134mm etc etc...i have just seen some 2010 r/s revelation race on merlin for 299quid, the brand new ones for 2010 are out already 6 months into the year?!!?!!?!!!? bizarre, anyways they arent uturn but still cheap....
