Peeling paint work on Forx
      #33905 - 15/06/2009 22:18

Okay, it's only an aesthetic thing but still v disappointing - a small area of peeled off paint has appeared on the crown area (near the headset baseplate) on my forks; they are Fox TALAS and were not cheap, so pretty frustrated really. Has anyone else had this problem. MOJO just say it's not a serious problem and to get some touch up paint from a car place! I suppose I could have chipped the paintwork a while ago or had some cable rub but still, for the money, is this what one should expect or indeed put up with...oh and guess what they were bought in April 08, so probably out of warranty...what a surprise...the paint has probably got a 365.5 day fuse!!! (Blimey, I sound a right grumpy old sod...I'm actually a pretty laid back guy...! I think?!?!?! )

Good point well made matey1

I must say for all the pros and cons of R Shox over Fox and vice versa my Rev's look heaps better than Typhoos Talas's which look like they've been used as a winder in a barbwire factory. Flaky paint and pealed off decals a plenty!

I am going to persue with MOJO and may even quote you! It's totally rediculous...I know we 'pay' for the technology and the advanced seal systems and so on, but come on Fox...£500 for mine, rising to £800 for the 36 TALAS and almost £1200 for the DH boys' forks - I don't know, perhaps I really am just turning into a grumpy old man! I will take it all out on tomorrow evening's trail...watch out everyone!!!!!!!!
