Shortening Braided Brake Hoses
      #33785 - 15/06/2009 12:56

Anyone got any useful tips on shortening braided hoses?
I've used my Park cable cutters before but they tend to leave a slightly frayed end which can make refitting the olives tricky. I've heard it said that cutting by a giving hard blow with a sharp (old!)wood chisel and a mallet works though I've never tried this.

Fit the olives before you cut it.
