I've entered this next year. Anyone done it, how hard is it and suggested training? I know this is a bit general!

Training - lots of distance, and lots of hills with a steady build up so you can cover a days riding towards the end of your training. A week or so of light cycling just before the event so you are maximally recovered.

if it was me i would start by extending my usual rides by 5 miles or so every week until im up to the same distance as the ride i have entered.

make your rides a mixture of tough lung bursting climbs, long flat stamina building flats and fun technical stuff.

goodluck.
