Hi Malc,

There's lots of good trails on the Long Mynd (Church Stretton). Start in Carding Mill Valley, climb up onto the ridge. Turn left along the bridleway until you get to the Gliding Club. Turn left onto the singletrack down Minton Batch, then back to Church Stretton along the road. That's a basic route, but there are lots of other trails on the Mynd to explore. Also try the forest at Hopton Castle, Bringewood and stuff around the Wrekin.
Enjoys!

As already suggested, check out the Long Mynd for starters, there are some superb trails there including some of the country’s finest ‘natural’ singletrack – particularly Minton Batch. Most of the bridleways in the area work quite well but if you really don’t fancy exploring by yourself, check out our Classic Route from September 2007, which is also available on-line at www.mbr.co.uk. And keep checking back on the forum for other suggestions.

Couldn't recomend the long mynd enough - a long slog up but fantastic rolling trails along the top and then a wicked descent back down, the gliding club is a pleasant distraction where you can (figuratively) recharge our batteries and watch a few launches to break up the riding
