A friend of mine has just purchaced a new Giant with Hayes hydraulic disc brakes. The only problem is that the brake levers are too far away from the bars for her (small) hands

Is there a way of bringing them in without bringing the pads closer to the discs?

I had a quick look at the levers but couldn't see any obvious adjustment. However I never looked at the caliper end of things.

I recon that I might have a similar problem with my Magura Marta's that are due to arrive in the coming days.

Is there a quick'ish fix or it the solution likely to involve a dangerous degree of tinkering?
