Riding in Portugal

IŽm writing this post to help foreign Mountain Bikers to came and enjoy Portugal, specially Ann Gent and her husband from Pembrokeshire who wrote for Q&A pag.151 last issue of MBR.
In Portugal we call Mountain Biking, BTT, that stands for "Bicicleta Todo Terreno",something like All Terrain Bike, so if youŽre googling the key word is BTT.
Our main Forum is http://www.forumbtt.net/ you can find more details at: http://www.forumbtt.net/index.php/board,30.0.html
or about our favourite spots with photos:

Informations about Portugal at www.visitportugal.com or visitalgarve.com
Contrary to the oppinion in MBR,Algarve is one of the best places to Mountain Biking, if you move just 10km from the shore IŽll find fantastic quiete places.
Near Lisbon you can visit our "mecca", Serra de Sintra"and Cascais seashore, a Natural Park or Monsanto, the little florest around Lisbon.
There are lots of good places to know, our beer and food is great and youŽll find our cost of living cheap. There are lots of flights heading Faro(South of Portugal-Algarve) and Lisbon, just come and have fun in the sun!
