Hey itchy hows things? Just found this bit on Bridleways in Hampshire (don't know if it is different in your part of the country?) http://www3.hants.gov.uk/row/who-can-use.htm As you can see it says, "There may also be a right to drive animals along a bridleway" I don't know if this means drive them as in "YeeHaa" driving or driving with a horse and Carriage? I think it means the latter! I would contact your Local Authority by Email or Phone ( I think they are responsible for Bridleways?) and ask them if the Farmer is allowed to keep his cattle on the bridleway or use the Bridleway to move his cattle along it? If they do say he is allowed to move his cattle along it BUT not to just let his cattle graze on it then you could have a problem as its your word against his . You could try taking pictures with your phone (time stamp on the pictures) but this may not help to prove he wasn't with the cattle? Hope this helps? |
