Just spent a weekend bikiing in Trallwm Forest and it was fantastic.
It may not have the kudos of Nant Yr Arian or Coed Y Brenin but the red and black routes are, although a little short, pretty technical and easily gives Cannock Chase a run for it's money.
One question though...
Although the midges were rampant and the weather was pretty damp (which only added to the fun factor) I would just like to know where all the other mountain bikers were ?
Trallwm has all the facilities, an excellent cafe (hot chocolate and carrot cake recommended), bike cleaning facilites and three routes which, when combined, will keep you smiling for a good couple of hours.
I had the whole forest to myself all weekend.
Not that I'm complaining, so keep this gem quiet and perhaps you too can enjoy a blast through the Welsh forests in the not too distant future.

The secrets safe with me  , welcome to the forum Paulli , another local to add to the growing collection , maybe even meet up sometime with you for a days riding if you're interested ? Will have to add Trallwm to my ever increasing list of things to do.

I'm a bit of an old duffer and may hold you up on my retro bike...but would welcome the challenge some day.
